FAQ
Does VidDub only work on YouTube?
No. VidDub is built as a multi-platform video dubbing layer. YouTube is the clearest starting point, and more sites are added regularly.
What happens when a video has no subtitles?
VidDub first looks for usable subtitle tracks. If captions are missing or not good enough, it can fall back to speech recognition so the video can still be translated and dubbed.
Will the voice stay synced if I pause or skip?
Yes. VidDub follows the video timeline, including pause, seek, replay, and playback-speed changes.
Can I choose different voices?
Yes. VidDub supports language-specific voice options, and premium audio features can make multi-speaker or background-audio-heavy videos feel more natural.
Can I still see subtitles?
Yes. VidDub can show translated subtitles alongside the dubbed voice when you want to double-check terms, names, or technical explanations.
Do I need to upload videos?
No. VidDub works from the browser while you watch supported video sites. For normal use, you do not need to download or upload the video yourself.
Which languages are supported?
VidDub is designed for multilingual viewing with major languages and voice options. Availability can vary by translation and voice provider.
Is VidDub free?
Yes, you can start for free: every account receives free credits each day. If you need more, optional credit packs and a VIP plan are on the Pricing page.

Any other site — you decide
VidDub does not start itself anywhere else. Click its toolbar icon on a page you want dubbed and it runs there for that visit; if it worked, the side panel offers to keep it on for that one site. Turn a site back off, or allow every site at once, from the same panel. That is how people dub course platforms, news sites and the video pages they already use, without granting access to their whole browser up front.
Your own videos
Attach an .srt, .vtt or .ass file if you have one; if you do not, VidDub can generate the subtitles itself. A private video is only ever uploaded after you confirm it.
